I don't understand something about Araki.
He was killed by Lord Samedar.
Now he's fine?
Maybe the Araki recently seen in NXM is his brother or father?
The original Araki was "Grand Vizier", the most recent one was "Imperial Sage".
I dunno, thought I'd bring this up, I might be wrong.

Well, Morrison changed "Imperial Guard" to "Superguardian", so that might just be his thing. As for Araki, I got the feeling his appearance in Operation: Galactic Storm was a glitch, which is why he was revealed as a Skrull. Perhaps Morrison was unaware of his death. Those featherheads all look alike t'me, but the original is really, really dead.

The Skrull Araki was an imposter, not the original Araki. The real one was presumably found alive after the death of the fake one, which goes a long way to explaining why he's still around today.
Either that, or as Wolverine suggested the current Araki is a relation to an original.

Sounds to me more like a boo-boo :)

But what about the death of the original at the hands of Samidar? How has that been pushed aside?

Didn't he appear in Uncanny X-men 275 near the end of the Claremont run?

The original (or first) Araki was shot in UXM #157.
Araki II during Operation Galactic Storm, who turns out to be a Skrull. It is unknown but very probably that there is / was a real Araki II whose place he had taken.
And now this third Araki.
My guess / explanation is that Araki is not actually a name but some sort of title or position, like Gladiator being Praetor (=leader) of the Imperial Guard.

His body was seen in New X-men 126 and In New X-men 133 he said he was Araki 3. This means they are a race or maybe clones. This also means that his is a different araki from Araki 1
