as ive said before i dont understand anything about heroclix (and yes i know the rules are in the rec room) but i am VERY tempted to get these when they come out as they look so damn cool even though they would just eb for decoration and not for play:D

:bawl: Night-crawler is a unique, and I hardly ever get those! :bawl: No Venom or Rhino, but Black Cat, Blob, Avalanche, Toad ect make up for that. :)

I wonder if Yellow Jacket will be the figerless base that was the promotional givaway.

I also wonder how cool the Red Skull, and Super Skrull looks.

Since Captain America and Red Skull are arch enimies, I wish they woulda made Cap A with a coloured base last set.

Nope it has a figure, which unfortunately for us Hank Pym fans is of the villianous female Yellowjacket. :(

I wish Clobberin Time was out already. Some of these figures look very awesome, especially the Mojo and Nightcrawler Uniques.

Yep, apparently Yellowjacket is the Rita DeMara incarnation. Hank Pym's version is the "figureless" Limited Edition (not a promo, vb).

And if you want to see pics of some of the other figures, head over to the news forum and check out the Clobberin' Time Invisible Woman article!

:sigh:

How the heck do they leave the Silver Surfer out of a F4 themed set?

Where in the world is the Storm figure?! She's the most popular Marvel woman and yet still has no figure...:(

Good call Beacon. They do need more for future sets though. I still wish Nightcrawler wasn't Unique. :(

Well, looks like Chamber didn't make it again, but I suppose that's almost expected.

At least they made a Blob figure! WooHoo!

I do think its kind of odd that a character that popular has been left out of the first two sets. Maybe they’re saving her for the X-Men* expansion (though I told myself the same thing about Norrin Radd and this expansion:().

*Though I do think that this set was awful X-centric (no, not “eccentric” :p). The set has 8 different X-related characters (not figures) in it and it has only a few more 4-related characters in it (I can’t come up with an exact number because characters like Skrull Commando, Sandman, Joe Fixit, and even – to some extent – Spider-Man are all somewhat related to the F4 but they have other categories that that they fit into better). There are a total of 10 figures that I think are primarily F4 based (Doombot, Invisible Girl/Woman, Thing, Human Torch, Blastaar, Mr. Fantastic, Dr. Doom, She-Hulk, Super Skrull, and Medusa).

Given the large amount of X-Men/Brotherhood members here it is kind of a surprise that they overlook a character like Storm. Especially since they’re making new R, E, &V versions of Elektra and Wolverine/Logan even though they both already had R, E, V, & U figures in the first set. I mean, at least Spidey and the Hulk only show up as uniques this time around (and Hulk didn’t get one in the first set anyway).

Apart from Hulk's Bruce Banner LE, seeing LE's are considered as Uniques if official game play.

I really want the Hank Pym figurless LE. A thought. What if they offer the Silver Surfer as Wizard exclusive? That would make him cool. :)

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Wizard have another mail away figure for the CT set.

Just a heads up Mr. X-fan, Wizard has a confirmed list in their Heroclix checklist/price guide in the new Wizard. Some of your's are a little off, like Nightcrawler is a R,E,V, not a unique.(Collective crawler fan's sigh of releif) Also some you had wern't mentioned like Nick Fury I beleive. (Not sure on that one, as my freinds got my Wizard at the moment.) :) I hope this helps. :D

That's rather interesting, as the images I have seen of the Nightcrawler figure are painted with the silver ring, therefore a Unique. But then again, this is an unofficial checklist.

Eric J. Moreels
Oct 26, 2002, 02:52 pm
Yep, the pics - which appear to be of official figures - have Nightcrawler as a Unique.

There's always the possibility that there'll be a R/E/V version of the character too.

Weird. :hrm: Wizard has a funky list then. I've seen the silver ones too, but thought it maybe a prototype.

EDIT: Human torch and Reed richards plus the boosters have been revealed. Here http://x-mencomics.com/xfan/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=12310

Regarding the CT checklist in Wizard, from what I've heard that was based off WizKids' originally-planned 100 figure set, which is why Nightcrawler is listed as R/E/V. Since then, CT was cut down to 96 figures so the list on the first page of this thread appears to be more official than was first thought!

venombytes
Oct 26, 2002, 03:23 pm
Cool, thanks X-fan. :)

Dave Harris

Just to input on the issue, the list here is as certain as it could possibly be without having been officially put up in the Figure Gallery, and I'm with Eric that the Wizard list only makes it more certain. The only differences between the two are that the Wizard list has Nightcrawler and Nick Fury as R/E/Vs as opposed to Uniques.

But the information on the WizKids site says that the set is 96 figures, so their list can't be entirely right. Changing those two to Uniques, however, fixes some other problems with the Wizard list, such as matching up the number of the Spiral sneak peek (http://x-mencomics.com/xfan/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11982).

Having been one of the huge naysayers of this list when it was first thrown out, now I'm its biggest supporter. And since there will surely be constant updates as we get closer to the release date, X-Fan will try and stay as on top of the news as it can! If they happen to announce a certain X-theme for the next set, for instance...;)

Yeah, the Wizard list is what was going to be the old 100 figure set for CT, but seeing WizKids changed it to 96 figures, Wizard's info is out of date.

I would love to see a Chamber figure, or Captain Britain, he would be cool to.

Dang. You disappear for a few months and come back to a list full of great characters. Nice to see a fair amount of Avengers on there, esp. the Yellow Jacket.

Actually that Yellow Jacket is not Hank. It's some villain who also went by that name. Oh, well.

The 3 differant Invisible Girl/Women rocks.

Dave Harris
Nov 15, 2002, 03:29 pm
Indeed, the Yellowjacket here is Rita Demara, former Master of Evil who used the name, whose powers are similar to those of Wasp, based on her figure.

Invisible Woman...yay. Sue Storm got the treatment everyone wanted Rogue and company to get last time. Her Rookie is firmly on the base, whereas her other two versions have flight stands. Her Experienced version is half-visible, and her Veteran is completely clear and changes the name from Invisible Girl to Invisible Woman!

This is being so well received, I can only hope that they keep it up.
