Group Affiliation: The Underground, Clan Askani
Major Enemies: Dark Sisterhood, formerly Stryfe
Known Allies: Cable, Irene Merryweather, Askani
Powers: Telepathy
The only man to ever truly learn the ways of the Askani, Blaquesmith is a high order telepath and telekinetic, and also has a limited ability to time-travel. He is also a techno-wizard with access to technology from two thousand years in the future.
Blaquesmith recorded the arrival of the X-Man on Earth following the Age of Apocalypse from his base onboard a rusty ship in Baltimore Harbor, which concealed much of his hi-tech futuristic weaponry, as well as a supersonic flying craft. He was thought to have been killed after Onslaught sent Post to destroy him, but Post ended up only destroying his base.
Blaquesmith transported Cable and Domino to the future to save the life of Cable's younger self after Cable's long-dead wife Aliya Jenskot travelled back in time to enlist Cable's help.
After monitoring X-Man for a time, Blaquesmith deemed Nate Grey a threat that must be eliminated, and appointed Cable to the task. After a brief clash with X-Man, Cable joined forces with the boy, much to Blaquesmith's chagrin, to tackle the bigger threat of Exodus.
Blaquesmith returned to mentor Cable after his powers were severely limited by the backlash caused by the Shadow King. He set up shop with Cable and journalist Irene Merryweather in Hell's Kitchen so as to easily monitor the Chosen One.
After Cable was targetted by the Dark Sisterhood, Blaquesmith was seemingly killed. However, he returned to aid his pupil once more after Cable had lost direction and was travelling the world.
