SNEAK PEEK @ X-MEN: EVOLUTION'S 'UNDER LOCK & KEY'

<a href="http://x-mencomics.com/xfan/images/evo/xmevologo.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://x-mencomics.com/xfan/images/evo/xmevologot.jpg" align=left alt="X-Men: Evolution logo"></a>X-Men: Evolution series producer Boyd Kirkland recently provided X-Fan with a sneak peek at the upcoming new episode of the hit animated show, "Under Lock & Key", due to premiere at 11:30 am on Saturday, November 30 on the Kids' WB! network.

According to Kirkland, the episode involves the return of the master mentalist Mesmero as he seeks the second of a set of keys that will unlock the tomb of the eternal mutant Apocalypse.

Hooray, more Evo Pyro! :D And teamed up with the X-Men! Hmm, I just saw the first Mesmero episode a few weeks ago on YTV, so it's kind of interesting that he's appearing again.....although it'll probably be another year before I see this one :(

It looks like the new Brotherhood will have no choice but to team up with the X-Men and the New Mutants. For that reason, this episode should be great.

I figured this episode would be a waste of my time, since I can't stand Angel or Iceman and I'm not that interested in Beast. But with Remy in it, I might actually get more than 10 screensnaps out of it ....

Whoaa... I thought this episode was gonna be cool, cause it reunited the original team, but after seeing the screenshots with Pyro and Colossus and Gambit and Sabertooth.... All I can say is HOLY CRAP, this looks to be an awesome episode!

I was under the impression that Mesmero was.........wow ever start to write a reply and realize how stupid you would have sounded? I was just about to say, doesn't Mesmero work for Magneto? And then......:idea: RIGHT! Mesmero and Mastermind AREN'T the same person!! :LOL: Well I guess I can't be deadly right ALL the time!
Anyways, I'm in the same boat as a lot of you. I'm not much for the "original 5" but now with the addition of Pyro and Gambit- I'd be a fool to miss it!

Just a Speculation I beleive Magneto might be under Mesmer's hypnosis. Maybe thats why The Acolytes/whatever you want to call them team is asking Professor X to help them find Mags. Just a guess not a spoiler.

I find Bobby almost as irritating as Tabitha and Angel bored me. On the other hand, I _do_ love Gambit, it would be great to see more of him. I'll agree with you about Pyro, though -- at least one line would be nice.

I think snapping this ep will be like taking the weekend off -- there won't be much for me to do (unless Gambit and Co. are in it a lot more than that one pictured scene.)

I think we're missing the real necessary discussion here. What will the X-Men Evolution Apocalypse look like? After seeing the show's version of the Sentinel, I'm confident that we will see the best and most innovative representation of Apocalypse ever!

I quite agree. The Sentinel design was very cool when it was revealed and definately can't wait to see how Poccy looks. Pity the comic book was cancelled before Sinister could appear. :(

I personally don't really care for the "Original Five" But with Gambit, ( Big Fan) Pyro, and Colossus I'm there wouldn't miss this episode for the world. :DEspecially If Gambit is there.

Same here, although we know that's not going to happen. Personally, I think that Magneto's Accolytes will sort of break up with the coming of Apocalypse. It'll be another one of those "let's join forces for now" sort of things just like we've seen so many times in TAS (don't get me wrong, I do love those moments).
But I do wonder how Apocalypse will look like. I loved the way that they did Mastermind, he looked really cool. I hope they keep up the good work with Apocalypse.

Oh, another thing, did anyone notice that Season 3 is almost over??? That went by much too fast. After "Under Lock & Key", there's "Cruise Control" and three more episodes and that's it....

Really? I didn't really notice that. The last three episodes are probably the finale. If not, then the last two.

Almost over??!! Man the eps sure do fly by when you realy get into them. Hopefuly this will just lead into a must see season four.

They do kind of fly by fast, don't they? I mean, for a couple of Saturday's there were only re-runs to watch but everyone still had the newer episodes fresh in their minds. It certainly will be interesting to see how this season ends.

I can and can't wait to see the end. I can cuz that means it's over...nothing else. But I can't cuz that's usualy the grand finale...unless someone wrote a funky script, letting it end on a "What were they thinking!" note.

The preview shots look great. It's fantastic seeing the Original team together, I hope to see them together again in future episodes. It's great to see Gambit and Colossus (along with the others) teaming up WITH the X-Men. Hopefully, Magneto will lose his hold on them, and they'd switch sides and join the X-Men as reserve members.

I hope they don't make it so like..Prof X assigns an assignment for the 4 of them to meet Angel, or something cheesy like that..I hope it's PURELY accidental, like Bobby playing a game w/ Ray and Sam and runs into the X-Jet or Scott and Jean going on a "date" in NYC or something like that. Not like, "Beast, I want you to take Scott and Jean to NYC. I sense soemthing happening with Magneto and his team there. You might also meet up w/ Angel" "Oh, I want to go too professor" "Ok Bobby, you can go"
I also hope they include the other new recruits, not just Bobby.

I think your right!I remember seeing Mesmero and Magneto and the same side in the comics,but Maggy turned on him or something.Oh well.I wonder how they'll manage to exclude the other X-men out of the episode.And how come Magnetos group doesnt have an official name?And does anyone else notice how the only member (excluding Sabretooth) of Magnetos crew thats been mentioned by name is Pyro(in the The Toad,the Witch,and the Wardrobe).And pyro doesnt even have a voice??!!Maybe theyll give em one this time.EVo Gambit is kinda stupid,I prefer TAS Remy

Yup, this episode is gonna rule. But I don't think they're fighting Apoc in theis one I think they're saving that for the season finale.

Well counting for the fact that Colosus didn't get a voice until a 3 minute blip in this seasons episodes. They might be holding off on developing some of these new guys until the end of this season or the start of season four:rolleyes:. I mean it took forever for them to give Bobby and a few other of the new mutants voices, and they came in season two.:p
