In an attempt to save the life of her father, Ra's-A-Pocalypse, after a plane crash caused by her beloved Logan Wayne (a.k.a. Dark Claw), Talia burned off 90% of her skin. After an operation which replaced most of her body with the impervious metal known as Adamantium, she sought out Dark Claw to exact revenge and almost killed herself after believing she had slain Logan. His healing factor, however, saved him and the pair reconciled their differences.
