Connor Hawke met Oliver Queen after Ollie returned to the ashram he had studied at, and that Connor had been studying at for some years. Ollie was haunted by the thought that he had murdered his best friend, Hal Jordan, who had gone mad and become Parallax. This was revealed to be untrue, but Ollie didn't know it, and it was with the help of Connor that Ollie made his peace and went out into the world.

Connor followed Ollie, and adapted a costume similar to Ollie's working as his sidekick, and meeting Ollie's friend Eddie Fyers, a former federal agent. It was during this time that Ollie learned the truth about Connor: Ollie wasn't just his idol, but his father, from a relationship years before. Ollie didn't take it well and stormed off, leaving Connor and Eddie to try to track him down, but it was too late: Ollie died in a fiery plane wreck, leaving Connor to take up his identity and become the new Green Arrow.

Connor and Eddie travelled, accompanied at times by Connor's martial arts mentor Master Jansen, trying to find their place in the landscape of the world of heroes. Connor met Dinah Lance, Black Canary, Ollie's true love, who gave him the gift of a bow that Ollie had owned, that Connor would use from then on. Connor developed a fast friendship with Kyle Rayner, the new Green Lantern, and they shared a few adventures. He also faced down Lady Shiva, the deadliest assassin in the world, and fought her to a stand-still, making him one of the few who ever has.

Connor also took his father's place on the JLA, and was used by Batman to play "traitor" while going head to head with Lex Luthor's Injustice Gang and also single handedly rescuing the League from the Key. Connor left the League afterward, and he and Eddie returned to the ashram where Connor was raised for a time.

When Ollie returned from the dead, Connor left the ashram and tracked down Ollie. Connor moved in with him in Star City, and, along with Mia, the runaway Ollie took in, they formed a household. Connor has been wounded seriously twice since returning to the super hero life, once by Onomatopoeia, and once by Dracon, but Connor has continued fighting the good fight. He serves as a conscience for Ollie, as well as a moderating force, keeping his impulsive father from flying right off the handle.

As an archer, Connor is probably only second to Ollie. He uses a traditional bow and arrows. He also is probably one of the greatest hand-to-hand combatants in the world. Connor's training in the ashram have given him an ability of being able to mimic and copy fighting styles that he witnesses. This is not a metahuman power but a learnt skill which Connor is a master at utilising.

Nice, but you forgot to bold the Appearance List, and I'd say Arsenal would definitely be a better archer. Also Robert (son of Shado) is his half-brother.

But then you'd be wrong Harle. Connor is established as being more gifted than Roy and on a par with Daddy dearest.

And don't get pedantic over formatting. Heaven forbid we forget your Spot entry in SVI. When formatting goes bad...

I'm not getting pedantic. It was just an observation.

Anyways, that still leaves that half-brother addition to the know family list.

Ah, but it's been established that Shado is just as good or better than Ollie himself. So Roy would fall even further down the list.
