Sent to live with his uncle in Alberta, Canada after witnessing the brutal murder of his parents, young Logan Wayne was recruited for a secret experiment that gave him his claws and laced his skeleton with the indestructible metal known as Adamantium. The shock of the operation triggered Logan's latent mutant healing factor, allowing him to survive the procedure.
Running rogue from the project, Logan began a new life in New Gotham as a playboy techno-wizard by day, dark avenger by night. Using his vast fortune, Logan constructed a secret lair under the grounds of his estate which he calls the Barrow. This subterranean cavern is outfitted with the latest technological crime-fighting equipment. Since Logan spends so much time underground there, his young ward, Jubilation Lee, has taken to calling him "the Bat Man".
Dark Claw is a founding member of the Judgement League Avengers. His greatest enemy is the Hyena, also a product of the secret experiment that gave Dark Claw his Adamantium.
