Deathborg was a member of the robotic Sinister Society, a group of androids created by Will Magnus to destroy the Magnetic Men.
After discovering that the Sinister Society also sought revenge on Will Magnus for trapping them in their robotic bodies, Magneto offered the Sinister Society to join the Magnetic Men which they accepted.
