Here's how the company describes the game, which features a storyline by former Wolverine comic book writer Larry Hama:
"X-Men: Wolverine's Revenge is the only action-adventure game that lets players take on the persona of Wolverine as they explore the mysterious past and deadly future of the most popular X-Men character. Unleashing Wolverine's awesome mutant powers and enlisting the aid of Charles Xavier, players must face off against arch enemies as they discover the truth about the Shiva-Virus and the secret behind the ruthless Department H organization that made Wolverine into the deadly killing machine that he is today."

I wonder... will the storyline for Wolverine's Revenge, concerning Wolverine's secret past, mirror that of the comic, or will it be something new? And if it does mirror the comic, would it reflect on some matters previously untouched on paper?

I wonder if there will be anyother X-Men in this one.
I will definitely be getting this on GBA and one other system. I have a PS2 but by then I may also have a X-Box or a Game cube. I have no Idea which system I will get it on. I have been waiting for this since PS2 launch though so I will not be holding my breath for it to come out before X2. :wolvie: :wolvie: :wolvie:

This game will have to truly stink for me to not get it...and even then. I can't wait! I still play as Wolverine in Tony Hawk and brag to my friends that I got to draw him. ....Not that any of them care. sigh.

Professor X was mentioned as appearing in the game in the above article.

This game looks awesome. It'll be the first x-related title for gamecube it looks like. Finally, another game I really want for gamecube.

Cool Dave Finch even replied. I'll be renting it for my GC but I doubt I'll buy it cause it's single-player and I prefer getting games with single and multi-player. I think this one looks pretty cool and I been waiting for something like this. I like how they put his latest costume in it. Also if any of you don't know, there's supposed to be a new X-Men game coming out with I think it was either 20 or 30 hours of play. That's pretty d@mn good. I'm really looking forward to that.
Oh yeah, THIS IS MY 300TH POST!

X-Men: Next Dimension is the game you're referring to Hotrod. And, unfortunately, it's another 2D 2-player fighting game. Sigh.
For my money, Wolverine's Revenge is definitely where it will be at. It'll be a nice change from the repetitiously boring play of games like Mutant Academy and Next Dimension.

Sorry Eric, but the game I was talking about wasn't Next Dimension. This game is either a RPG or a 3rd person action. It's supposed to be really top-secret. I read about it in some gaming magazine. They're too many to name.

yeah, I remember reading about that one as well Hotrod... something about X-Men meeting Final Fantasy or something like that.

 Yeah, Brian knows what I'm talking about. I'm really anxious for that one.

Though I know what you're talking about, the article in the gaming magazine (which one eludes me) mentioned it only in passing, but that it would blow the other games away.
Nothing until 2003 at the earliest, though. Likely it will be timed around the release of the movie. Fall, 2003?
Hmmm....

Looks great. What I'm waiting for, though, is a team version where you can switch between different X-Men. Why don't they make a game like that?
BoomBot
May 5, 2002, 08:18 pm
That's what it's supposed to be like. I'm pretty sure you'll be able to choose different characters.

Well, Wolverine's Revenge you can only play with Wolverine but the NEW game I'm talking about will feature more characters I'm pretty sure.
