Along with arch-rival Dark Claw, Creed was a survivor of The Project's attempt to create the perfect soldier, but lost his sanity in the process.
Creed's warped reasoning sees Dark Claw as the reason for his misfortune, so he opposes him armed with claws, guns, laughing bombs, and a gang of thugs known as the Pack.
Deep inside the Hyena lurks another personality - a light-hearted jester with a feminine edge, although Creed seems unaware of its presence.
