as far as i know its no differnt from mutant academy it just looks better, and even then it doesnt look that good IMO. i will probably only rent it

Actually, Next Dimension will differ vastly from its predecessors in Mutant Academy and Mutant Academy 2. There will be lots of new features, and the graphics are a lot sharper than before!

Not for PC :( too bad, I just not a big gamer anyways. Maybe if it were an rpg I might be more interested in it, but yet another fighting game :( Oh well. Maybe once my friends get it'll i'll play it then.

One thing I do find interesting though, is the look of the characters uniforms, very up to date with the comics.

Actually, that Sentinel looks pretty cool, so do Bastion and Havok... not as angular as some of the other characters.

By the way, does anyone have a full list of fightable (or to fight) characters in this game? Sometimes screen shots leave out a couple, tis why.

Surprised Storm or Gambit or Iceman weren't on the roster....

These graphics are at least 6 years old. It could very easily pass at a Playstation 1 game. What a horrible looking game.

If you look at the X-men: Next Dimension thread in the Rec Room there is a list there :) About the graphics, the last five screens were shown earlier this year (I don't know about the rest) but even withstanding that, they have pushed back the release date so they may improve the graphics in that time! One can only hope!

Regarding the graphics, I think they look awesome! Remember, static graphics rarely ever give the best impression of fighting games like this, but that Juggernaut looks great! :yes:

And shiva, Storm is a playable character in the game, I just haven't got any screenshots with her in it yet!

The graphics aren't that bad, I think that Bastion and Juggernaut look pretty cool.

I'll probibly just rent this one, but I doubt I'll buy it. I'm kind of getting sick of these X-Men fighting games.

The graphics never look as good in the screenshot previews. But theres a webpage out there that has video clips, intros, and trailers for this game- and the graphics look awesome, imo.

The game is different from mutant academy because you can move in more directions and you can move into different environments during the fights. You can also pick up objects in the environments to use against oponents. I thought there was a story mode as well.

Anyways I'm happy- because I downloaded the Phoenix preview clip and it seems Jean Grey has much better telepathic/telekinetic attacks as well as better and bigger phoenix attacks as well. :D

Although the xbox version has more features- I'm buying a gamecube because I want to get the Godzilla Destroy all Monsters Melee game as well.

the graphics in all the Mutant Academy games are just av....i liked all the extra art etc in the fist one though.

hopefully this will hav tonnes of art etc too.

You never know it is possible...it could be a cheat code or something so you can access it or maybe there are hidden things that you can do to get access them...but I'm pretty sure that there are cheat codes!!

It comes out on all 3 next gen consoles: Gamecube, X-box, and PS2. THey're all basically the same except X-box has Pyro as an extra character.
