Default Neonomicon--Alan Moore is back!

Did anyone else pick up the first issue of Neonomicon ? Came out on January 13th by Avatar and is drawn by Jacen Burrows and written by some dude named Alan Moore! Alan is back!! This looks promising with Alan Moore's usual flair for the magic and supernatural! I hope some other posters here found it and gave it a try.

A new Alan Moore series is always a cause for celebration.

The preview was quite good. It had a "X-Files/Silence of the Lambs" feel to it. That locked up killer looks as haunting and creepy as any Hannibal Lecter. I can't wait until Alan Moore's new series launches in August.

I picked it up and am looking forward to it to. I'm currently reading From Hell for the first time and I have to agree that anything by Alan Moore is a cause for celebration.

Out of curiosity, is this board just really Marvel heavy? It seems like X-Men in particular is the only area that's really active at all. Everything else is slow going-- especially small press titles.

Yeah, the board is pretty Marvel heavy. I think the site originally started with a focus on X-Men, although they're tried to shed that image (going from X-Fan to ComiX-Fan.) Then again, Marvel sells really well, so it's not terribly surprising.

As for Neonomicon...it was cool, but too effing short. It's like they thought "Hey, we've got 8 pages done, let's cash in now!" I'll buy the series when it comes out for real, but I feel cheated.

CXF started as X-Fan, X-Men only and expanded a few years ago but the main fan base has remained mostly focused on X-Men unfortunately.

We do have more well rounded members here and there of course

I'm so well-rounded I'm nearly spherical.

That reminds me, I feel like a midnight snack...

I think the actual comic isn't out yet, only the one with the preview. What's this Dodgem Logic of which you speak?
