The mutant known as Thornn grew up in a New York City tenement as Lucia Callasantos. She had two younger sisters, Carolina and Maria, and a younger brother named Matteo. Their father beat his wife and abandoned the family after the birth of Carolina, the youngest of the children. He was eventually found dead from a drug overdose.

Lucia's mother eventually found a new boyfriend named Harry Bellinger. Bellinger was an alcoholic and a cocaine addict who got Mrs Callasantos addicted to drugs as well. Soon after, Lucia's mutations began to emerge and caused her to start growing fur. When Lucia was seventeen, Bellinger tried to rape her, but Maria, now fifteen and whose mutations had emerged much more quickly, stopped Bellinger and killed him. Together Maria and Lucia hid the body.

Maria and Lucia then came to live among the underground community of mutants known as the Morlocks. The two sisters had come to resemble humanoid animals, and so Maria took the name Feral, whilst Lucia became known as Thornn.

Feral went on to become a member of X-Force for a time, but fled after an attempted rescue of Special Agent Henry Gyrich during which Feral had given in to her bestial urges.

Lucia was eventually captured by the New York City police, and this drew Feral out of hiding. Feral confronted Lucia and X-Force member Cannonball, and Lucia revealed that she had seen Feral kill Harry Bellinger. Cannonball then provoked Feral into admitting that she had murdered her mother. Cannonball overpowered Feral, and an old friend of Lucia's, police detective Jose Hidalgo, arrested her for the murders.

Recently Thornn and Feral appeared to have reconciled their differences and joined the X-Corporation set in Mumbai, India. Both worked there until they lost their mutant powers during the M-Day.

Thornn II should not be confused with Thornn I of the Salem's Seven.

I really liked Thornn during pre-AOA X-Force.

She had potential to join either X-Force or the X-Men.

Depends...I don't get Cable, so what came first...X-Force #40-41 or Cable #42?

X-Force #40-41 came first, Cable #42 came out a year or so later.
