Last Appearance: Brotherhood (2nd Series) #9
Cause of Death: Impaled by Spike III
Group Affiliation: Brotherhood II
Known Relatives: Malcolm Reeves (Father, deceased)
Major Enemies: Marshal, X-Force II
Powers: Energy Blasts

The daughter of industrialist Malcolm Reeves, Malon Reeves was heir to his vast wealth. Due to her father putting his work and business as his priority, relationships were strained between Malon and Malcolm Reeves. When Malon Reeves discovered that she had the mutant ability to generate powerful energy blasts, she began to become a burden to Malcolm Reeves, who feared Malon being a mutant would hurt his business ventures.

While the Reeves’ were able to keep Malon’s mutant gifts a secret from the general public, others, including X-Men founder Charles Xavier and the terrorist organization the Brotherhood, soon learned of her abilities. While Xavier tried to convince her father to enroll her in his Institute of Higher Learning, the Brotherhood took a more direct approach, and attempted to kidnap the mutant heiress from her home in England.

Although Reeves was able to escape the Brotherhood’s initial kidnapping attempt, she was captured a short time later while waiting for her father’s bodyguards to rescue her. At the Brotherhood’s mercy, Reeves was taken back to their safe house were she was then prepared to be brainwashed by the Brotherhood’s Bela. Before Bela could begin his brainwashing techniques however, Reeves was saved by the London Brotherhood cell’s leader, Bryson Bale. Bale allowed Reeves to eat, and rest, admitting that he did not join the Brotherhood to torture women.

After being allowed to recover from her kidnapping, Reeves was given an ultimatum by Bale. Reeves was to travel with Bale to a genetic research facility in Paris, and only then would she be given the opportunity to leave her captors. Upon arriving in Paris, Reeves immediately recognized the research facility as one that her father funded. Reeves and Bale then made their way into the facility, were Reeves discovered that it housed experiments on mutant fetus. Reeves was horrified by the revelation, and she snapped, using her powers to destroy the facility. Now convinced that the Brotherhood’s philosophy was the best way to bring her father to justice, Reeves, now calling herself Simon, joined the terrorist group in their efforts.

Reeves, along with the rest of the Brotherhood’s London cell, struck out against her father’s corporate interests, hoping to cripple him both financially and emotionally. During these terrorist strikes, Reeves and Bale began to fall in love, much to the disgust of their teammates Asher and Fagin. Their romance was to be brief however, as Malcolm Reeves had forged an alliance with the mysterious Marshal, and was provided with the location of the safe house of the Brotherhood’s London cell.

Mercenaries hired by Malcolm Reeves soon made an attack on the Brotherhood’s safe house, to which Malon Reeves and Bryson Bale narrowly escaped. Realizing that Malcolm Reeves was responsible for funding the attack, Reeves and Bale decided their best plan of attack was to confront him directly. Making their way to his office building in London, Malon Reeves and Bale were able to confront Malcolm Reeves relatively unhindered.

Realizing that his daughter was lost to him, Malcolm Reeves revealed that he too was a mutant, and that he would do anything to keep his secret, including killing his own daughter. Before Malcolm Reeves could strike out towards Malon, Bryson Bale interfered. A brief struggle followed, and before Malon Reeves could diffuse the situation both combatants fell through an office window, to their deaths. Reeves was devastated by the deaths of bother Bale and Malcolm Reeves, but she did not have long to mourn, as she was taken into custody by Marshal a short time later.

Now a prisoner of the United States Government, Reeves was at the mercy of Marshal and the Brotherhood taskforce. Marshal, only concerned with the Brotherhood’s leader, X, offered Reeves an opportunity to regain her freedom. Reeves, along with fellow captives Asher and Fagin, were to return to the Brotherhood while reporting to him and the taskforce. The trio agreed, but they all realized that they were just pawns to both Marshal and X, and were not safe from either.

Eventually Reeves, Asher, and Fagin were able to regain X’s trust by taking on a series of tasks designed to test their loyalties. It was then that they learned of X’s plot to assassinate the mutant Doop, a member of the media driven super-hero team X-Force during a parade being held in their honor. Untrusting of Marshal’s promises of freedom, and realizing that X would kill them if their treachery was discovered, the trio of mutants attempted to warn X-Force before the assassination attempt, in hopes of gaining asylum. Unfortunately, before they could gain X-Force’s attention, X ordered the Brotherhood to attack. In the resulting confusion, Reeves was attacked by X-Force’s leader, the Orphan. Unable to avoid the assault Reeves was thrown back by the Orphan’s attack and fatally impaled on the Spike’s protrusions.

Malon's uncle was the one doing the experiments, funded by Malcolm Reeves, i believe. And Malon's unnamed mother was mentioned several times as killed by Malcolm.
