Excalibur #79
  • All issues of the Phalanx Covenant: Life Signs crossover had wraparound covers with a foil strip resembling circuitry.
  • Excalibur's home on Muir Island was overrun by the Phalanx in X-Factor (1st series) #106.
  • To hide from the Phalanx, Excalibur, X-Factor and X-Force resided at the fortress once used by the Acolytes, which was first seen in Uncanny X-Men #300.
  • Shinar made his debut in X-Factor (1st series) #106.
  • In X-Factor (1st series) #106, Steven Lang starts questioning the motives of the Phalanx, which leads him to betray them in the Phalanx Covenant: Final Sanction crossover.
  • In X-Factor (1st series) #106 and X-Force #38, Douglock takes Wolfsbane, Forge and Cannonball to the Phalanx's communications tower known as the Babel Spire.
  • In X-Force #38, Moira MacTaggert puts Shadowcat and Rictor through the same memory-extraction chamber she once had to endure in Uncanny X-Men #300.
  • In Excalibur #82, Douglock pretends to betray his new allies to the Phalanx, but Shinar exposes his deception.
  • Shinar forces Forge to provide a new energy source for a group of pods containing unborn Phalanx in Excalibur #82. Instead Forge sets an energy fluctuation through the pods, causing them to explode.
  • Douglock destroyed the Babel Spire in Excalibur #82 by jamming its energy transmission, which also destroyed most of the Phalanx present including Shinar.
