A commanding officer of Hydra, Selina Luthor is the daughter of its leader, the Green Skull. She was discontent with her father's failures to kill Colonel Bruce Wayne of S.H.I.E.L.D., and intended to do something about it. When the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier began bombarding Hydra's base, Selina took the opportunity to betray the Green Skull. She assumed command of Hydra after she believed to have snapped her father's neck. However the Green Skull secretly survived his daughter's attack, and went into hiding.

Addressing herself as Hydra Supreme, Selina Luthor used Hydra's resources to fight the S.H.I.E.L.D. landing parties led by Bruce Wayne. Remaining at the base, Selina and Baron Zero discovered that the Green Skull's Planetsmasher program had been activated, setting up the massive Terra Cannon to fire. Selina's attempt to disarm the cannon failed as Wayne and S.H.I.E.L.D. stormed the fortress. Just when Wayne had beaten Selina, the Terra Cannon fired, destroying Hydra's headquarters. Whether Selina or anyone else survived the explosion remains to be seen.
