Ghost Girl II

Real Name: Lilli Stephens
First Appearance: Alpha Flight (2nd series) #2 (as Lilli), Alpha Flight (2nd series) #18 (as Ghost Girl II)
Group Affiliation: Beta Flight, formerly Alpha Flight

Almost nothing is known of the past of the young girl known only as Lilli, except that she was a ward of Hull House in Orloo, Ontario, before she was recruited by Department H.

Once at the Department, Lilli was forcibly confined in the Beta Flight wing and went through numerous unpleasant tests. Lilli's superhuman powers caused a number of difficulties for her handlers thanks to her ability to become intangible at will. During her unauthorized excursions she encountered the young Alphan known as Flex, and the two developed a mutual attraction for one another.

Matters began to improve for Lilli when leadership at Department H was taken over by Mr. Gentry. Lilli was moved to the Alpha Flight quarters and allowed to interact with the team. Calling herself Ghost Girl, Lilli even joined Alpha Flight on their mission against Weapon X.

After that mission, when the original Alpha Flight members rejoined the team, Lilli was assigned to Beta Flight once more.

Ghost Girl has the ability to turn completely intangible and pass through solid objects. She can also use her intangible body to create gateways through solid objects for others to use. Whilst it is presumed that Lilli is a mutant, the officials at Department H refer to her as a "Legacy" case. What this terminology means has yet to be revealed.

Lilli seemed familiar to Diamond Lil. Perhaps a coincidence, but considering their names and the style of Alpha Flight at the time, I tend to doubt it.

Full name is given in the Canada entry of the Marvel Atlas #2 as Lilli Stephens.
