Post Manbot

ManbotReal Name: Bernie Lachenay
First Appearance: Alpha Flight (2nd series) #1
Group Affiliation: Beta Flight, formerly Alpha Flight
Major Enemies: Zodiac, Brass Bishop, Weapon X III

After the disbandment of the original Alpha Flight, Department H salvaged the suit of armor that was once used by Madison Jeffries as Box and reworked it into a new system. They then merged Bernie Lachenay into the system to create the being known as Manbot.

Manbot was assigned by Department H to the new Alpha Flight team. During the new team's first few missions, Manbot recorded their activities for later study back at the Department. After the restructuring of the Department following the apparent death of General Clarke, Manbot was no longer utilized in such a covert manner.

Manbot came close to sacrificing his mechanical "life" against the latest bearer of the name Weapon X. Luckily, a backup of his systems was saved and he has since been reconstructed and reassigned to Department H's training team, Beta Flight.

Manbot has a range of offensive weaponry and defensive systems at his disposal. He is also capable of scanning for life signs in a given area, and possesses audio/video recording and playback capability. Manbot can also communicate with Department H via a radio link.

APPEARANCES:
Alpha Flight (2nd series) #1, 3-4, 7, 9-13, 15-20
Uncanny X-Men #355
